Hi, Dr. Devan here from Westside Orthodontics.
As a health care practice we have an ethical duty to prioritize the health and well-being of our patients. But this also includes that of myself, my staff, everyone's loved ones, and the greater community.
The safety of everyone comes first.
Given the current COVID-19 situation in the Darling Downs we need to act.
After careful consideration of advice from the Department of Health, Queensland Health, the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, the Australian Dental Association, the British Orthodontic Society, and the Australian Society of Orthodontists, I feel it is necessary to take leadership in this situation and do the responsible thing.
Therefore, I am closing the practice until further notice.
This is will encourage everyone to stay at home and save lives.
All future appointments have been automatically cancelled. We have recorded everyone's appointments and will be in touch ASAP to reschedule once the clinic reopens.
