COVID-19 UPDATE #16: What we're doing to ensure your safety!
Every morning we will have a team meeting to discuss health and safety measures so the entire practice is up to speed.
All patients who are unwell will be rescheduled.
Unnecessary items will be removed from the waiting room including toys and magazines.
Cough etiquette and hand hygiene posters will be places throughout the clinic.
Sufficient time will be left between appointments to allow thorough cleaning of the surgeries and waiting room.
All surfaces will be regularly disinfected with >60% alcohol-based wipes and 0.1% sodium hypochlorite (bleach) solution.
All orthodontic assistants have completed the Department of Health Infection Control Training for COVID-19.
Standard precautions (including hand hygiene) and Transmission-based precautions in particular Contact and Droplet precautions (which includes the use of a gown, surgical mask, goggles, and disposable gloves) will be observed for the routine care of patients.
All contacts will be kept 'casual' (less than 15 minutes face-to-face contact or sharing a closed space for less than 2 hours) to reduce the risk of possible transmission.
